Gescons (An ISO 9001-2015 company) was established in 1961 by a group of young technocrats. During the initial years it supplied own cast aluminium machine components at its factory situated in the industrial city, Calcutta, to various fan makers, electric motor manufacturers and to a multinational American typewriter company.
From 1970 it embarked upon casting heavy, long aluminium castings which used to be imported by the power generation equipment manufacturers. These products were all import substitution items and we received Certificates of Excellence for the products we supplied to them.
Presently the company has 2 units with advanced machining and testing facilities. We are working in the field of power transmission equipments and hardwares with hydraulic and helium leak proof testing facilities for leak proof castings.
Besides serving the electrical industry, we are also manufacturing withering fans for tea industry and agro industries. With facilities of a modern foundry, machine shop, pattern shop, arrangements for heat treatment and ultra-sonic test, we are destined to improve the quality of our casting everyday and satisfy our esteemed customers.
